Assists the Construction Manager in performing engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of current upcoming Civil projects.

• Involved in the planning and designing of civil engineering works.
• Prepare the design and technical specifications for tenders, as well as tender documents for the bidding of Civil Engineering projects.
• To collaborate with peers in other disciplines in feasibility study and design and ensure delivery if quality service for clients.
• To manage the project in Preliminary Stage, Design & Tender Stage, Construction Stage to ensure delivery of the Project as per milestone.
• Considering budget, regulations, and environmental hazards during risk-analysis stage
• Preparing material, equipment and labour cost estimates and confirming costs are within the budget.
• Prepare report and method statement whenever necessary.

• To support Production Manager in leading Production & Logistics department to ensure safe and stable operation in Daily, GCM (grade change maintenance) and SDM (Shut down maintenance) operation and planning.
• To follow up with Technical and Maintenance department on critical mechanical or E&I issues that impact plant safety, quality, and reliability.
• To lead in managing the Local and Global CARs (Corrective Action Request) relating to Safety, Quality, Reliability and Stable operation matters under Production and Logistics department and manage to ensure CARs are well followed.
• To lead and support capex related matters from Production team. Capex matters include planning, proposal, study, Hazop, commissioning and evaluation in each of the Capex planning phases.
• To support and lead in new production grade trial operation with the trial planning, manpower arrangement, coordination with other various department and in house contractors to ensure smooth operation during the trial.
• To assist or lead Global MOC relating to raw material planning, new specification changes, and packaging design changes.
• To participate and support Production & Logistics Manager in providing information and evidence during HSEQ, Stable Operation, LQA, and Budget preparation, including to make investigation summary or report.
• To undertake special assignments or projects as directed by the Production & Logistics Manager.

• Provide the installation, commissioning and on-site training to support the customers according to the scope of the project
• Provides after sales technical support, troubleshooting, site service and maintenance visit to customers in a timely manner to ensure that the product is operational
• Generate a service report to customer in a systematic manner
• Handles wide range of diesel generator sets (small to large capacity) to provide support to departments in terms of service and training
• Develop service training material, ensures all technical and training documents are up-to-date and organized
• Provides specific training to distributors and dealers for service and troubleshooting skillsets, ensuring optimum service level at all distributors
• Maintain close working relationship with our key customers to ensure the follow through until the issue is resolved
• Provides technical assistance on factory test of special projects
• Investigates root causes of failures and recommend solution
• To deal with customer on the warranty issues from technical aspect
• Performs any other service and training duties as and when assigned

• Coordinate with design consultant(s) and maintain good documentation.
• Check design consultant’s drawings and ensure correctness against the agreed design schemes.
• Collaborate with peers in other disciplines in feasibility study and ensure delivery of quality service for clients.
• Any ad-hoc duties as per assigned by the Manager

• Handle all purchasing duties including liaising with external providers, requests for quotes, order confirmations, expediting, delivery arrangements and assist Account Payable to resolve payments, etc.
• Participate in new external provider / product / service selection, evaluation and qualification to expand procurement network.
• Ensure purchasing functions conformance to plant requirements, maintenance projects and production schedule before initiating POs with external providers.
• Evaluate the performance of the external providers periodically.
• Participate and support in the conduct of external provider audits, where applicable.
• Issue report to and follow up with external providers for corrective actions to ensure timely closure for all nonconforming issues.
• Solicit competitive bids/ quotations and negotiate with external providers to ensure that all materials and subcontracts are procured and awarded at the best evaluation, both technically and commercially.
• Responsible to achieve pre-set cost savings target within the allocated budget.
• Continually improve purchasing function effectiveness by keeping up-to-date with current market and changing materials conditions and to make recommendations according to current price trends and purchasing availability.
• Establish, review & revise purchasing processes/procedure periodically to enhance resource efficiency & effectiveness.
• Maintain and update purchasing documents/records, SDS and approved external provider list.
• Ensure timely dissemination of purchasing related information.

• Analyze operational solutions for electronic interconnect manufacturing projects such as process and methods analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, and shipment optimization.
• Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers to review customer prints, bill of materials (BOM), contractual commitments and related information to determine logistics and develop logistics metrics and key performance indicators.
• Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities; develop cost estimates and forecasts
• Monitor projects from product design, materials planning, ramp-up production of wire harness products and ensure meeting with schedules and reaching company’s business objectives.
• Involved in defining work procedures/processes and building up documentation system.

• To assist HR Manager on HR & administrative functions
• Assist in payroll calculation, attendance, timesheet management, CPF submission, etc
• Manage work passes for foreign employee including application, renewal and cancellation.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports and ad hoc reports
• Assist in reviewing and implementation of performance appraisal exercise, HR policies and projects
• Sourcing of relevant courses, registration of courses, liaising with training providers and training administration
• Other administrative duties including ordering office supplies, etc 

• Assist Project Manager in the project including plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of project execution for an assigned portion of a major project or for the total portion of a moderate scope project and ensure that it is completed on time, within budget and with highest quality;
• Preparation of Engineering detail design development for project where applicable
• Prepare Bill Of Materials/equipment list, budget and manpower plan for the project and execute according to the plan once approved
• Coordinate with personnel in other departments, client and/or consultant and vendors/subcontractors personnel to review designs, prepare and execute recovery plans speedily
• Submit regular management reports on the progress of the project vis-à-vis timelines and targets
• Responsible for safety compliance on the project assigned and ensure all activities carried out complied with MOM WSHA requirement
